PM Modi inaugurates ‘Yashobhoomi Convention centre’, unveils ‘Vishwakarma scheme’ ||ENGLISH||GOA365

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the newly built Yashobhoomi Convention centre in Delhi on the occasion of his 73rd birthday. He also unveiled the Vishwakarma Scheme.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 5,400 crorefirst phase of the India International Convention centre, named Yashobhoomi. The state of the art convention centre encompasses a area of over 73,000 square meters which includes 15 convention rooms and 13 meeting rooms and has a holding capacity of 11,000 delegates

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of ‘Vishwakarma Jayanti’ unveiled the Vishwakarma scheme, which is being looked at as a major boost to artisans and crafts community of India that is engaged in traditional skills. Under the scheme, eligible artisans will be able to take credit support of up to 3 lakhs at a concessional interest rate of 5%. The scheme also aims to provide basic and advanced training to traditional artisans with a toolkit incentive of Rs.15, 000. The government will spend 13,000 crores to implement the scheme.
