Griha Adhar applications to be cleared by April: CM

The Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that the pending 22,000 Griha Adhar applications would be cleared by April. He said that 17,000 applications had been cancelled as they had crossed the income limit.



The chief minister told media after the cabinet that it had cleared 7 cabinet proposals including introduction of a new vaccine to reduce mortality in children and a proposal to produce a book on the former chief minister.


The chief minister said that distribution of new forms would be started from 1 January.


He also made it clear that government servants are not eligible for the DDSSY scheme. He gave details on the status of the scheme.


The cabinet also decided to extend the lease of the premises in Valpoi given for a special school to 10 years and clear the change of name of the department of environment to the department of environment and climate change.
