Free LPG scheme extended to all the poor people

Earlier, it was only for the below poverty line people mentioned in the census.

The government plans to achieve the target of five crore connections by March next year and three crore more would be released by March 2020.

Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum had a joint press conference to give details of this scheme of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala.

The scheme had a budgetary provisions of 12,800 crore rupees and was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2016.
