Goa government including Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has welcomed the verdict on Mhadei water allocation by the tribunal. But the opposition Congress has described the verdict will affect Goa’s ecology.

And Mhadei Bachao Abhiyan calls it a danger signal though Karnataka’s demands are not fully met.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has tweeted from the USA and has congratulated the whole team of lawyers. According to him, the tribunal has finally done justice to Goa.

But the opposition Congress has a different view.

According to Mhadei Bachao Abhiyan Secretary Rajendra Kerkar, the diversions of Mhadei allowed for Maharashtra and Karnataka would ultimately affect Goa. Thus Goa should file a review petition before the tribunal.
