Press day celebrated

 Opposition will wait till elections to highlight the wrongdoings of the government, but media will show it on the spot. And it is duty of government to rectify it in the interest of the people, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said.

Chief Minister was speaking during the inauguration of National Freedom Press Day program held at Sanskruti Bhavan on Tuesday. Senior journalist Gurudas Singbal was bestowed by Lifetime Achievement Award on the occasion.

While, senior journalists Vinayak Naik, Simon Alfonso, Suhas Belekar were also felicitated on the occasion.  Winners of Goa State Level photo contest in hinterland tourism of Goa and cultural tradition of Goa categories were also awarded.
