Completely unexpected weather phenomena was witnessed earlier today as parts of Aldona received light rainfall out of season. As per the Nowcast issued by IMD Goa, light rain is very likely at isolated places over North and South Goa districts between 4pm and 8pm. As of 4pm, clouds were seen over the talukas of Sattari, Bicholim and Dharbandora, and generally moving in the South west direction.
Yesterdays warm weather marked the states departure
from the cold winter, as both maximum and minimum temperatures rose to 31.1℃ and 21.4℃ respectively. Today is expected
to be warmer with max and min temperatures hovering around 32℃ and 22℃
respectively. These values are, however, expected to drop by 1-2℃ after 48 hours.
Haze and light fog was seen at isolated areas early this morning at isolated
areas, and is expected tomorrow as well. Skies will turn partly cloudy toward
the afternoon tomorrow, remaining clear only during the morning. No weather or
fishermen warning have been issued so far.
