Tilak's birth anniversary observed

Bal Gangadhar Tilak's 100th death anniversary was observed all over the state on Saturday, especially by journalist fraternity. They paid rich tributes to the erstwhile journalist and former political leader.

Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak was perhaps the first political leader in modern India to appreciate the importance of identity issues. He motivated people to join the struggle for independence, giving a clarion call for swaraj and  swadeshi. In Panaji, journalists gathered at Azad Maidan and paid floral tributes to Tilak's portrait.

Journalists in Margao to observed the 100^th death anniversary of Bal Ganghadar Tilak. The function was low key in view of Covid-19 pandemic.

Sanguem Quepem Patrakar Sangh observed Bal Gangadhar Tilak's 100^th death anniversary. Power Minister Nilesh Cabral was present at the function.
