The government will put in place standard operating procedures to ensure proper response in case of disasters, the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told reporters.

He said that the revenue minister had been asked to formulate these and all such systems would be in place by March of next year.

He was speaking after the cabinet briefing at the Secretariat complex on Wednesday.

The chief minister, however ironically said that the damage caused to the shacks was not due to the aftermath of the cyclone but due to a phenomenon which he termed as super moon.

He said that compensation would be paid in case of legal damages to legal shacks.
