PANCHAYAT POLLS NOMINATIONS

A total of 6,256 candidates filed their nominations for the 186 panchayats set to go to polls on the 10th of August. 3,312 of those nominations were filed from North Goa and 2,944 nominations were from South Goa. Today was the last day of filing nominations.

Today was the last day of the nomination period which began on the 18^th of this month. Wednesday is the deadline for withdrawal of nominations.

Candidates from several panchayats like RumdamalDavarli, Girdoli, Chinchini, Dharmapur and AquemBaish in Salcete area also filed their nominations.

Candidates frompanchayats in Raia, Nuvem, Majorda, Utorda, Verna, Nagve, Betalbhati, Lotli, Kamurli, Seravali, Colva and Benaulim in Salcetefiled their nominations at the Mathany Saldana Complex on the last day to file nominations.
