PM Modi UAE visit: MoU for IIT, UPI in the arab nation signed || ENGLISH || GOA365

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reached Delhi after concluding his daylong visit to the UAE. PM Modi had a ‘productive’ UAE visit with both nations signing multiple Memorandum of Understandings in education and fintech sectors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a daylong UAE visit on Saturday after concluding his France visit. After successful discussions between PM Modi and UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE and India jointly announced on Saturday to deal in their respective local currencies for trade settlements.

Further, India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) will be interconnected to UAE’S Instant Payment Platform (IPP). India & UAE signed multiple MoU’s between their central banks while an MoU was also signed to establish an IIT campus in UAE.
