Merces ex-sarpanch Prakash Naik commits suicides, names Wilson Godinho, Tahir as being responsible

Whole Goa was shocked was shocked to hear that former Sarpanch of Merces, Prakash Naik had shot himself in his own house on Friday morning. In his post Wilson Godinho and one Tahir have been named as being responsible for his taking this extreme step. Goa Forward has demanded that it be checked if this is BJP minister Mauvin Godinho’s brother Wilson and a proper inquiry be conducted. And both Wilson and Tahir be immediately arrested.

Prakash had contested last Assembly election on MGP ticket and he was in real estate. Before he committed suicide, he had posted on a WhatsApp group of his friends, blaming Wilson Godinho and Tahir for his death. The post said both of them were harassing him in some land deal issue.

 Goa Forward has demanded a proper inquiry into the matter. Its vice president Durgadas Kamat says police should find out if this Wilson is the brother of Panchayat minister Mauvin Godinho, and if it is - to hold a fair and impartial inquiry to come to the bottom of the issue.
