We had heard about these things happening in other states. It was whispered that such things were happening in our state too.

A NGO had even demanded a CBI inquiry alleging that cops were quite useless in keeping a track on this.

Now an abduction attempt happened in broad daylight in the port town of Vasco. Fortunately it was thwarted and the culprit arrested. Here’s the story.

One Uttam Kumar Bind, native of UP was caught by public after he allegedly found tried to kidnap a six year old girl near Bank  of India ATM in Vasco on Saturday Morning.

The accused was thrashed and was later handed over to Vasco police by the members of public.

This incident invoked fear and outrage among people especially coming on the heels of many such instances.

Showing a basic disdain and lack of fear of the law. Not surprising given the rate of convictions in the state.
