Vasco police solve 2 robbery cases, recover almost all stolen assets

Vasco police on Thursday evening detected two major cases reported at Assoi-Dongri in Vasco and recovered almost the entire stolen properties. In one case, assets worth 72,000 rupees had been stolen while in the other items worth nearly 1.75 lakh rupees had been stolen. And both the crimes were committed by one person.
Vasco Police Inspector Nilesh Rane said police on Thursday had received a complaint from Geeta Dessai from Assoi-Dongri stating that a man in his early twenties entered her house sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, and stole gold items worth worth 72,000 rupees.
In the second police complaint, Vinod Sawant from Assoi-Dongri had complained that burglars entered his house on Wednesday and stole gold ornaments and a mobile phone all worth 1,73,993 rupees.
Vasco Police had
later registered an offence under Sections 454, 380 IPC.
