Journalist harassed, GUJ demands suspension of lady police, IGP promises action

Goa Union of Journalists condemned the harassment of journalist Nilesh Shetkar of Lokmat by on-duty policewoman attached to the Old Goa police station. The journalist was harassed at the Gaundalim bridge in North Goa during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

As per information, Shetkar, who was riding home, witnessed an accident involving a police heavy vehicle at around 12:30 am. On seeing the accident involving a heavy vehicle which is otherwise prohibited on the bridge, the journalist stopped and started clicking photographs.
