International betting ring busted, case handed over to crime branch

Goa Police cracked down on an international gambling racket that had connections with China, Pakistan and even Australia. The racket could possibly extend to more than 1000 crore rupees. Three persons who were allegedly the kingpins were arrested last night.

The raids were conducted at various locations in the state last night. Due to the size of the racket, the case has now been handed over to the crime branch. Police seized laptops, mobiles and bit coin in the raids last night, reliable sources informed. Investigations are on to ascertain the size of the betting ring.
