Goa under terror threat? Sec 144 in North Goa for 2 months

Is Goa is under threat of terror attack? A order declaring Section 144 being imposed in for next 60 days says that it is because of possible terror threats along the west coast of India. And it makes it compulsory that owners renting out their premises verify their tenant antecedents.

But North Goa Collector R. Menaka says this is a routine procedure to verify guests and tenants.

 The collector has ordered under section 144 to do verification of guests while renting the premises. Cyber cafe owners are told to verify their customers. The order says that there are possibilities of anti-social elements coming down with intentions of committing crimes in Goa.

The order says that anti-social elements use cyber cafes to mislead security and investigative agencies. The Collector says that section 144 won't prohibit people's gathering and rallies.
