CCTV footage of Anjuna tourist attack case shows altercation, fight between staff, tourists: WATCH || ENGLISH || GOA365

‘Aditi dev ho bhava’ or guest is god is a saying adhered by the hospitality industry. However, tourists too should behave responsibly. The recent attack on tourists at a hotel in Anjuna has raised several questions,

starting with stakeholders and police ensuring exemplary action instead of pushing incidents under the carpet. If not we could kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Local MLA Michael Lobo however has become a legal and health expert on the issue. He defends the police and their action and seeks to trivialize the attack or possibly the whole anjuna incident.

Spazio Leisure Resort, where the incident occurred, has issued an explanatory press note. Stating that their staff only performed their duty and asked the guests to adhere to the hotel rules which was met by aggression from the tourist’s end. Meanwhile in an unrelated incident, a tourist was assaulted by 2 people over a petty road rage incident. The 2 locals, aged 25 and 29, used cement bricks and stones to assault the tourist for allegedly overtaking them. Both the accused have been arrested by Anjuna police while the victim has been shifted to District hospital Mapusa with serious injuries
