Prabhakar Karekar, Vinayak Khedekar awardedprestigious “Gomant Vibhushan Award”

This year’s “Gomant Vibhushan Award” the highest and most prestigious award has been presented to Vinayak Vishnu Khedekar from the field of Folk Art for the year 2019-20 and Pandit Prabhakar Janardan Karekar from the field of Indian Classical Music for the year 2021-22 on the occasion of ‘Goa Statehood Day’. The ceremony was held at the Raj Bhavan’s Darbar Hall in Dona Paula.

The award was presented to Vinayak Khedekar and Pandit Prabhakar Karekar at the hands of the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant in the presence of Minister for Art & Culture Govind Gaude, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel, Secretary Art & Culture Menino D’Souza, IAS and Secretary Information & Publicity Subhash Chandra
