He spoke in general as a chief guest of the 55^th anniversary of Konkani Bhasha Mandal.

Literary and other awards were given at the hands of Naik as well as other guests like Bhaskar Naik, GCCI President Sandeep Bhandare and industrialist Atul Naik.
