Don’t divide Konkani into castes, warns Pundalik Naik

He has also asserted that Konkani is developed through the masses and it doesn’t belong to any particular community.
The background was obviously the ongoing controversy over Vishnu Wagh’s poetry collection SudirSukt.
But Pundalik Naik neither mentioned the book nor touched the controversy.
He spoke in general as a chief guest of the 55th anniversary of Konkani Bhasha Mandal.
Literary and other awards were given at the hands of Naik as well as other guests like Bhaskar Naik, GCCI President Sandeep Bhandare and industrialist Atul Naik.
Pundalik Naik felt that awards should be judged on the basis of its literary value and not any other aspect.
