The famous annual Saptah of Lord Damodar Vasco would be celebrated with religious fervor, the annual general body meeting of the temple committee has decided.

 However, the committee is awaiting government’s nod and SOPs to celebrate the non religious parts of the  festival in the backdrop of rising covid-19 cases. 

For the past two years, all the festivals in Goa were celebrated under the cloud of coronavirus. Now, people from all over Goa are looking forward to celebrate famous Saptah of Vasco. The Saptah was celebrated for the last two years.

But devotees were not been able to attend this Saptha due to the coronavirus. However, the annual general body meeting of the temple has decided to celebrate this year’s Vasco Saptah with great enthusiasm and devotion for two days.

The rituals in the temple will be held with pomp. But the government should decide on the Saptah fair, the committee said.
