TOUNXACHEM FEST CELEBRATED

Feast of St. Anne popularly known as Tounxachem Feast was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Santan Talaulim. Devotees pray during their feast to fulfill their incomplete wishes. Once their wishes are fulfilled devotees give Tounxem, Cucumber to the Saint as offerings.

After the low key celebrations for the past two years due to covid, the Tounxachem feast was celebrated with fervor this year. Along with Catholics, Hindu brethren too keep faith.

Couples from both the religions that do not have children or do not find a bride or groom pray here to fulfill their wish. Once their wish is complete they offer cucumber, Parish Priest Oscar Quadros said.
