Cuncolim celebrates iconic Shatryo festival

The Satryo procession a traditional festival where fancy umbrellas are carried in a procession, began from the Fatorpa temple.

Then it moved to different parts finally ending back at the temple.

This tradition dates back 600 years, devotees say.

The palanquin procession goes to Cuncolim, visits various villages and finally end at the original place.

Temple committee have appealed that safety rules be followed while playing gulal and conducting other religious rituals.
