Carnival in Panaji on 22nd February

At its meeting on Saturday, the Corporation of the City of Panaji decided not to allow water boats at Miramar to take tourists on rides in Mandovi as there are no proper jetties there. The mayor said pay parking cannot be implemented as the contractor has payment problem. The mayor said carnival in the city will be organised on 22nd of February along the old route.

The Corporation of the City of Panaji took a number of decisions on Saturday.

Mayor of Panaji Uday Madkaikar said the implementation of pay parking is delayed because the contractor has payment problem.

He also said the CCP has proposed holding of carnival float parade along the old route.

The mayor said the council will take a decision on the gaddas on the 5^th of February.
