Car meets with an accident, turns turtle at Cuncolim; three injured

Three people suffered injuries after the car in which they were travelling turned turtle in a paddy field along the Margao-Karwar highway at Cuncolim in the wee hours of Thursday. The injured are undergoing medical treatment at Hospicio hospital in Margao.

The Maharashtra-registered car met with an accident after its driver lost control at Huskiniband in Cuncolim.

A local Joseph Dias said that the Margao-Karwar highway is very narrow in Cuncolim.

He said locals had several times demanded to widen it. But authorities have turned deaf ears to their demands.
