We will restart the residential academy for budding cricketers once this season is over, the GCA secretary Vipul Phadke said on Friday. He says that the standards for the under 14s in Goa is not so good compared to the other states.
However, once the residential academy starts, the standard could improve, he said.
The residential academy will ensure that the budding cricketers get proper nutrition. Also proper and dedicated training could ensure that he standards of cricketers at that level improves.
Vipul said that the academy had been started but was forced to close down for certain reasons.
But he would surely start it even if there was a slight delay.
The GCA had called this meet to create awareness about the new format in the under fourteen tournaments.
