Goa can have its own Sports code, suggests union minister Rathore

Rathore also said that sports code is existing since 2011, where Sports is a state subject and states can make a law.

The Union Sports Minister on Tuesday was speaking during his visit to Sesa Football Academy at Sankhli.

He appreciated Vedanta and other such corporates for putting money and passion into sports.

He added that this kind of initiative is better in developing sports and also the community.

Goan Football legends like Denzil Franco, Mark Baretto, Karishma Shrivaikar, Salvador Fernendes, Issac D’souza and Necolas Pereira were felicitated at the hands of the minister.

Speaker and Sankhli MLA, Dr Pramod Sawant and sesa Goa officials were also present for the function
