GFA aims to build footballers from every corner

The Goa Football association appointed John Abreu Lobo as the returning officer for the upcoming GFA elections.



The election schedule would be released shortly, the GFA president Elvis Gomes said.

Also, the GFA said that it gives 50 percent reduction to new club registering from ST areas. 

GFA President Elvis Gomes said that the election schedule would be released shortly in consultation with the Returning Officer as the GFA was gearing up to host the Junior National Girls Championship comprising of state teams from the 20th of this month.

The elections that were supposed to have been held on 29th of July but after a meeting on Thursday it's been decided that election will be held on the 28th of October. 

The Goa Football Association has reduced the registration fees for new clubs hailing from ST areas by 50% of the current fees to encourage new clubs from these areas.

New Clubs registration fees is Rs.20000/- which means the new clubs will be required to pay only Rs10000.

GFA said that a simple certificate from the Panchayat or Municipality would be sufficient to show that at least 75% of the people in the village are under ST category.
