Dempo SC struggle for three points against Vasco

Desmond Pereira scored the match-winner in the 77th minute. Vasco SC should have taken the lead just before the breather when Denil Rebello sent in a dangerous cross from the right, the ball found Alson Fernandes, who had all the time and space to score. But he rather shot way wide from six-yard distance.  

Dempo finally broke the deadlock in the 77th minute when Suraj sent a dangerous cross in the box, which the Vasco SC keeper Risven couldn't get enough touch as the ball travelled to Desmond Pereira who headed into open goal.   On Thursday FC Goa play Sporting Clube de Goa, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, at 4.15 p.m.
