Man killed, house damaged as lightning hits state

Two unfortunate incidents took place during Diwali in Pernem. In one incident a young man, Kalu Mali, died due to electric shock. While, in another, a house at Oxelbag-Dhargal was left damaged due to lightening strike.

 37-year-old deceased, Kalu Mali, native of Rajasthan was working with two colleagues at Hankhane.He was shifted to primary health centre in Kasarvane after being electrocuted, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Pernem police conducted the panchanama and sent his body to the GMC mortuary. In another incident, the house of Dilip Sawant from Oxelbag Dhargal sustained major damages due to a lightening strike.
