Amidst the chants of Jingle bells and Carrols, Goans all over the state celebrated Christmas, the birthday of Jesus Christ with pomp gaiety and devotion on Monday.

With the pealing of the bells at midnight in the churches in Goa, the birth of Jesus was symbolically announced.

Children across the faiths waited for their beloved Santa Claus. Cribs in all the sizes are prepared by local parish youths all across the state. Goans also enjoyed sweets like bebink, dodol and cakes.
