Khalap urges Chief Minister to approve grants for his college

Former union minister has reiterated his demand to give grants-in-aid to his Mandrem College of Commerce and Economics.

Khalap said Parrikar has regained his health as he  inaugurated Third Mandovi bridge and attended the assembly.

Parrikar should also complete his demand as soon as possible.

Khalap requested Parrikar in the letter.

Khalap is fighting for grants-in-aid for his college for last many years.

Khalap said in 2012 his college was approved for grants-in-aid but in 2013 CM Parrikar withdrawn the approval stating that a government college has come up in Virnoda 7 kms away from Mandrem.

Khalap has called this statement false stating that government college is 23 kms away from Mandrem.

Khalap said his college has necessary infrastructure to qualify for grants-in-aid. He also said writ petition filed in high court for Mandrem college was in his favor but education secretary issued him a show cause notice.
