Cong opposes proposed expansion of waste treatment plant at Calangute plateau

 Congress says there are already many problems in the functioning of the plant with the present capacity of 100 tonnes per day.

And the expansion will bring more problems. Congress has also questioned where is the RDF waste that is generated at the plant going.

The waste treatment facility is sought to be expanded to 180 tonnes per day.

But Congress says the government cannot handle the present capacity of 100 tonnes properly.
