Cong alleges CM seeking to influence youth for ZP elections by promising jobs

It is clear that the Chief Minister is influencing young voters for ZP elections by promising 10,000 jobs, Congress has alleged.



It also demanded release of unemployment dole of 4 to 5,000 rupees as promised by the BJP.


Congress also demanded that after government should go ahead with ZP elections after reviewing covid situation and also make sure there is 70 to 80% voter turnout if elections are held during pandemic.


GPCC president Girish Chodankar alleged that government machinery was working in full swing trying to influence voters and manipulate votes during ZP elections.

There is no budgetary provision of 350 crore rupees required to pay salaries for this 10,000 jobs, he alleged.

Parrikar had earlier also promised to create 10,000 jobs per year in last 5 years.

But this promise has still not been completed. Girish also demanded to release money for DSSY and Girha Adhar scheme.

Girish also demanded that ZP elections should not be held at the cost of people life.

Elections should be free and fair also free from fear of covid-19. Government should also ensure there should be enough participation of people in the elections.
