Aam Aadmi Party has given a seven day ultimatum to the Human Resource Development to withdraw job advertisement for 750 posts that does not show that Konkani is essential.

AAP said the department should publish a corrigendum notice mentioning that Konkani is essential for the posts.

AAP spokesperson Surel Tilve alleged that chief minister Pramod Sawant is trying to recruit people from Maharashtra bypassing the necessity of making Konkani essential.

He said AAP will lodge a complaint with Official Language Department over the issue.
