Decision making process has finally begun in Delhi with two rounds of high level meetings held with BJP national president Amit Shah. A final decision on the leadership issue however would be taken only after consulting Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in the next two days.

Our sources reveal that a first round of meeting was held on Wednesday morning at the residence of Amit Shah.

The meeting was attended by the three observers who had come down to Goa – Ram Lal, B L Santosh and Vijay Puranik as well as Goa’s three MPs – union minister Shripad Naik, South Goa MP Narendra Savoikar and Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar, who is also the state party president.

The second round of meeting was held again in the evening.

Though none of the Goa leaders are coming on record, our sources say that the central BJP leadership is planning to have a two tier system while replacing Parrikar as the chief minister.

The chief minister would be chosen from the BJP cadres and a post of deputy chief minister would be offered to one of the allies.

Sources also revealed that the central leadership will choose either MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikari or Goa Forward leader Vijai Sardesai as the Deputy Chief Minister.

The two leading contenders for the post of Chief Minister are Ayush Minister Shripad Naik and Goa president Vinay Tendulkar.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the condition of CM Parrikar is getting stable and he underwent major treatment on Wednesday.

Due to this, the final decision regarding the leadership is being postponed. It would be taken only after he recovers from the treatment in the next two days.
