Sesa workers from Bicholim mines have called off their 15-day long hunger strike. The decision was taken after meeting North Goa MP & Union Minister Shripad Naik who assured the workers that mining will begin from October.

It could be termed as the victory for the government as they achieved to break a 15-day deadlock.

The workers who were on a hunger strike since 15 long days broke their fast after Shripad Naik’s assurance.

While the Union Minister and BJP MP promised them to restart mining activities by October, he also reprimanded the mining leaseholders from retrenchments.
