SC allows transportation of extracted ore from jetties, ports

To transport the ore which was extracted before 15th of March and stocked at the jetties, ports and barges.

The high court had stayed the transportation last week because no government authority was ready to take responsibility.

Then the mining companies went to the Supreme Court. 

Earlier, Goa Barge Owners Association had reiterated their threat to throw the iron ore loaded in their barges into the sea in the sea if no solution is found immediately.

They also said that they would approach the courts by Wednesday if no remedy is found.
