Mines closed; mines dept asks the police to secure ore

The director of mines has written a letter to the police department requesting to depute officials or conduct regular inspections at mining leases from March 16th.
This is to ensure no theft of ore either lying within the leaseholder area or from the mining pits.
This is the property of the State, the director said.
