Who will benefit from the proposed amendment to MMDR Act?

Existing mining companies or the mining dependents?

And what is the fate of mining dependents and workers if the amendment bill is not passed?

Instead of that, the best option is community mining run through a Corporation set up by Goa government.

Not only mining dependents but the whole state would benefit from this.

This is a suggestion Ravindra Velip has once again pressed for.

The young tribal activist from Caurem village has even set up a villagers' cooperative for community mining.

He has been portrayed as a villain by some leaders of mining dependents.

But Ravindra says he is not against them.

In fact what he is proposing would help to restart mining immediately and the state would also earn more revenue than mere royalty we get from the existing pattern of mining.
