POWER LINE DISRUPTION LEADING TO WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTIONS: Cabral

As monsoons and soon expected to hit the state and unusual rain already lashing the state, water woes and bad road issues have got people worried. PWD minister Nilesh Cabral explained how power line disruptions have been leading to water supply disruption. He also spoke of pothole riddled roads in the state.

 While many homes in the state have been receiving erratic water supply, PWD minister Nilesh Cabral said that power disruptions is one of the main reasons as to why water cannot be pumped. He said that since Goa has around 60% tree cover, over-head power lines are easily broken leading to power disruptions. He said that he has been aiming to get power lines taken underground. Listen.

Nilesh Cabral also spoke of potholes in the state. He claimed that Goa is a pothole free roads state but said that roads are only dug for priority based works, citing sewerage as one of the reasons for digging up of roads. He said that while roads are being hot mixed, rains in the state have disrupted the work. Listen
