Some people had installed Shivaji’s statue in the town last year without permission.

There was tension when municipality went to remove it.

As a counter strategy, the municipality installed a much bigger statue this year and removed the old statue.

The Shiv Premi however want the old statue also to be reinstalled.

The rally was organized to protest this removal.

But permission was withdrawn last minute fearing law and order problem.

The Shiv Premi then had a dharna in protest.
