To the Moon! ISRO successfully launches Chandrayan-3, India’s 3rd Lunar Mission || ENGLISH || GOA365

The Indian Space Research Centre on Friday successfully launched India’s third mission to the moon. The Chandrayaan-3 also successfully reached its precise orbit and started its journey toward the Moon. The Chandrayaan-3 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.



The Chandrayaan-3 launch marks India’s 3rd lunar exploration mission and a successful landing will make India the fourth country after the US, China & Russia to land its spacecraft on the lunar surface. The spacecraft is expected to land on the lunar surface on the 23rd of August and will operate for 1 lunar day which equals 14 days on Earth. The Chandrayaan-3 project came at a cost of rupees 600crores.

Several Indian leaders congratulated ISRO for successfully launching the Chandrayaan-3. Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh who was present at the launch said the chandrayaan-3 success is India’s quantum leap in the global arena. Here’s what more the Union Minister had to say
