People are very upset as they are not getting water for basic necessities for the past two years. Despite Goa being supposedly developed state these areas has no toilets and women still have to use open fields.

On Thursday hundreds of villagers blocked roads and burnt effigy of PWD minister Sudin Dhavlikar in a protest over this.

Locals said that the government had failed to solve their water problem. They said that they had approached PWD officials on many occasions but had got empty assurances.

Women who are affected the most due to this lack of water threatened that they would take law in hands if they do not get water and this will be on the head of the government.

Protest was held in the area known as Assnora-Mulgao par and water is major issue in the area. Despite promises of 24/7 water supply by authorities and elected representatives nothing has happened.
