Mapusa Municipality approves 7.23 rupees surplus budget for 2020-21

Mapusa Municpal Council presented its revenue surplus budget for the year 2020-21 on Tuesday. The revenue is estimated to be 79 crore 72 lakh 55,000 rupees  while the expenditure is estimated to be 72 crore 49 lakh 5,000 rupees, making it  a 7.23  crore rupee surplus budget. The chairperson said the  stress this time is on recovery of arrears.

  Mapusa Municipal Council has been lagging behind in recovery of its arrears. Chairperson Ryan Braganza gave the breakdown of the budget figures. The council  approved the budget at its special meeting  on Tuesday.
