Tillari dam displaced residents go on hunger strike for acess road

On Thursday about 100 plus residents from the Sal rehabilitation colony began a hunger agitation demanding an acess road for them



They have also said that they will boycot the MP elections.


Around 200 mts is still to be constructed even 22 years after they were relocated there. 


These are the people who were given land by the government at Sal after being displaced from Tillari due to the Dam project.


They are demanding for a connecting road from their colony for last 22 years.


Now they have now decided to boycott the MP elections.


They had also submitted a memorandum to the revenue minister, Rohan Khaunte and the Bicholim MLA, Rajesh Patekar.
