WRD minister Subhash Phaldesai has allayed fears of villages being submerged following plans to increase the height of Selaulim Dam. Minister Phaldesai asserted that new, thoroughly studied technologies would allow engineers to increase the reservoir capacity without affecting surrounding villages

After a close call with water scarcity back in June, WRD has proposed plans of increasing reservoir capacities in dams across the state, especially at Selaulim. Speaking to Goa365, Minister Phaldesai assured that no villages would be affected by the raising of the dam height at Selaulim. Here’s what he had to say.
