LAC standoff continues; troops, missiles shifted to border

The India-China standoff at Galwan valley of ladakh has continued to intensify. The India has moved SAM missiles along the Chinese borders.



Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is on a three day visit to Russia.


Procurement of defense material is supposed to be the top agenda.


On the LAC talks between two countries are on to defuse tension.


Government has given free hand to forces to deal with any kind of untoward situation.


An emergency fund has also been sanctioned for forces. India has deployed specialised high altitude warfare forces, and missiles along the 3,488 km LAC to repel any transgression by the Chinese Army in western, middle or eastern sectors.


Army has allowed field commanders to use firearms under extraordinary circumstances.



VO2: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has left to Russia on three days tour on Monday. Rajanth will attend 75th Victory Day Parade in Moscow. Rajanth is expected to fast track the procurement process of new Sukhoi 30 MKI and MiG- 29 fighters jets and S400 missiles.
