Govt to sign MoU with Spanish Institute for organ transplant

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said Goa Government is serious about organ donation and transplantation. He said the government is trying to sign a memorandum of understanding with Donation and Transplantation Institute.

Vishwajit was speaking to media after inaugurating the three-day 1^st intermediate training course in transplant procurement management.

The course is organised by Goa Medical College in collaboration with Donation and Transplantation Institute of Barcelona, Spain.

The Health Minister said there is a need to keep a registry of organ donation and that Goa Medical College will be the nodal agency for organ transplantation.
