Fair price shops to give cheap onion amid skyrocketing prices: CM

The rising prices of onion have bought tears to housewives eyes. But on Wednesday, the government has sought to grant some relief.



Now, the fair price shops will now distribute 3kgs of onion at a much cheap price on your ration card.


Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced after the cabinet meeting.


Taking cognizance of soaring prices Goa government has decided to sell these onions as per the scheme at 31-32 rupees per kgs.


It will take another 10 days for the onion to reach in fair price shops.


In market there are two types of onion. One onion is 80 rupees per kgs and another one is 90 rupees per kgs.


The prices had even touched 100 rupees pr kg.
