CM still at GMC, file movement slows down, cabinet meet uncertain

The file movement in the chief minister’s office has come to a standstill due to the illness of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. He has been ill for over 13 days.

As Parrikar has been readmitted in GMC hospital after spending seven days in Mumbai, it appears that the weekly cabinet meeting may not take place on Wednesday.

Parrikar was admitted to GMC and then rushed to Mumbai on 15th of February.

After being treated at Lilavati hospital for the pancreatic ailment for almost seven days, Parrikar came to the Assembly on 22nd February to table the budget.

After that, the month-long session was adjourned on the fourth day.

While resting at home and clearing some files, he was rushed back to the GMC on Sunday afternoon. It was apparently a dehydration issue.

But Parrikar has still not been discharged from GMC till the news went on air on Tuesday night.

No minister nor any official is ready to talk about it. But sources told us that no agenda for Wednesday’s cabinet meeting has been circulated as of now.

Speaker Pramod Sawant spoke to us. But he is also not sure when the CM would be discharged and when he would start handling the files.
